HOPE After School Program

At Hope Haven, we understand that your child’s needs for high-quality, supportive learning and enriching experiences continue after the school day ends. Our Hope After School program provides a safe, structured, after-school setting for youth with physical and/or developmental disabilities, ages 3 to 22, where they can learn, grow and have fun.

Our ultra low staff-to-student ratio will give your family peace of mind knowing that your precious family members have our full attention and focus as they enhance their social skills, develop independent living skills and improve academically within our after-school program.

Weekly activities enjoyed by students in our Hope After School program include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sports and games

  • Creative arts

  • Literacy and academic enrichment

  • Nutrition lessons

  • Computers

  • Music and movement

  • Social skills

To ensure a safe, stable environment, we do ask that all our students are able to participate in a group setting. If your child requires one-on-one assistance, we will happily provide you with guidance and advice on possible options. Sometimes students are able to participate in a group setting with the support of an ABA (trained in Applied Behavior Analysis), and we can help you explore this further.

Hope After School programming is ongoing. Call to find out more.

We are open Monday–Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m, and Friday, 2:00 p.m.–6 p.m. Hope After School is $575 per month. Financial assistance may be available to offset this fee.

We understand how difficult it can be to arrange alternative care or take off from work when schools close, and we offer full day camps to assist with care during these times (an additional fee applies). We announce dates and details well in advance to assist with planning.

Transportation to Hope Haven may be provided for children and young adults attending private schools. Students who attend a Duval County Public School can ride the school bus to Hope Haven. Please contact us with specific questions about transportation arrangements for your student.
